Three of us left the United States eager to visit missionaries and ministries in Rwanda, DR Congo, and Mali to try to determine if God is leading Good News Productions, International to set up NOMaD teams in these countries. We traveled by foot, car, truck, and airplane. We went to five African countries and saw both the tragedy of man (Rwandan genocide and a continuing guerilla warfare in DR Congo) and the goodness of God (incredible mission works that, combined, have over 1,000 churches) on the continent.

The newest regional center of Good News Productions, International in Mbale, Uganda is now operational. Our regional center in Nairobi, Kenya continues to churn out quality productions.

And the first NOMaD team in Eldoret, Kenya is becoming more and more capable—with news of people being baptized and several churches started as a result of that team’s prayers, passion, preaching and productions!

So what does it all mean? First, we need to upgrade the capacity of the Nairobi, Kenya center of Good News Productions, International as a resource hub for the establishment of new NOMaD teams on the continent. Second, more training is still needed for the first NOMaD team in Eldoret, Kenya. Finally, ongoing strategic planning meetings need to be held with key missionaries and national church leaders in Kigali, Rwanda; Bukavu, Congo; and Bamako, Mali.

Will all three of these places have eventual GNPI NOMaD teams? Only God knows the answer to that question, but we return home thankful and prayerful along with “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6) It will require patience, prayer, and financial partnership.

So thank you for your prayers as together we continue the next steps to “accelerate global evangelism through media” in Africa and beyond!
